Starlink Site Inspection at
82 Vibo Center.

Introduction

InstallersPH IT Solutions recently conducted a Starlink site inspection at the client’s office located at 82 Vibo Center, Cebu City. The client expressed their intention to install a Starlink satellite internet system to enhance their connectivity, ensuring faster speeds, lower latency, and reliable internet access for daily operations.

The purpose of the inspection was to assess the site’s suitability for Starlink deployment, particularly in terms of physical installation, line-of-sight requirements, and indoor equipment setup. Our technical team arrived on site to conduct a thorough evaluation of both the interior workspace and external mounting areas.

Client’s Objective.

The client is exploring Starlink as a solution for stable and high-speed internet in their office. They experience occasional disruptions with traditional internet service providers and are considering Starlink’s satellite internet as a backup or primary connection. Their goal is to achieve consistent connectivity that supports daily office operations, including video conferencing, cloud-based systems, file transfers, and real-time communication platforms.

Inspection Overview.

During the visit, our team assessed three key factors:

  1. Mounting Location for Starlink Dish

  2. Clear Sky Visibility and Line-of-Sight

  3. Cable Routing to Indoor Router Placement

We conducted a rooftop inspection of the Vibo Center building, identifying viable mounting points for the Starlink satellite dish. Since Starlink requires an unobstructed view of the sky for optimal signal reception, we used a compass and obstruction-checking tools to determine the best orientation and elevation.

Fortunately, the roof area at 82 Vibo Center provides clear access to the northern sky, which is essential for establishing a direct line-of-sight to Starlink satellites. Minimal interference from nearby structures or high-rise buildings makes the site suitable for stable satellite signal reception.

Indoor Equipment and Power Availability.

Inside the office, our team identified ideal spots for placing the Starlink Wi-Fi router and routing the cable from the dish. We evaluated ceiling and wall pathways for clean cable management and checked for nearby power outlets to support the router and potential backup power solutions like UPS systems.

The client expressed interest in maintaining a clean, professional look, so we recommended discreet cable runs, possibly through moldings or ceiling conduit, depending on their interior preferences.

Client Considerations and Site Limitations.

While the rooftop provides an excellent location for Starlink dish mounting, the office unit itself is fully enclosed with limited access points for external cable entry. As a result, the client is now carefully considering whether to proceed, given the complications involved in routing the cable into a closed and structurally confined space.

These physical limitations would require specialized drilling, conduit work, or routing through common building infrastructure—factors that could increase both the complexity and cost of installation. Our team provided options and technical advice, but the final decision will depend on the client’s assessment of practicality and value.

Conclusion

The Starlink site inspection at 82 Vibo Center confirmed the technical feasibility of establishing satellite connectivity, but it also highlighted important structural challenges. The client is currently weighing their options and determining whether the installation complexities are worth pursuing. Should they proceed, the system is expected to deliver a substantial boost in internet performance, empowering their office with high-speed, satellite-based connectivity.
