Introduction.
On April 01, 2026, the InstallersPH IT Solutions team conducted a CCTV site inspection at Jardin De Busay, located along Cebu Transcentral Highway, Cebu City. The purpose of this activity was to assess the current surveillance system and evaluate the client’s request for additional CCTV cameras. This initiative reflects the client’s commitment to improving site security and ensuring a safer environment for both guests and staff.
Existing System Assessment.
During the inspection, the team carefully reviewed the existing CCTV setup, including camera positioning, coverage areas, and overall system performance. It was observed that the site currently has eight CCTV cameras installed in key locations. While the existing system provides a functional level of monitoring, certain areas require improved visibility and coverage. The team also evaluated the cabling layout and checked the condition of the installed devices to ensure readiness for system expansion.
Proposed Expansion Plan.
To enhance the surveillance capabilities of the site, the client proposed adding eight more CCTV cameras. The planned addition includes three dome cameras for indoor monitoring and five bullet cameras for outdoor coverage. This combination ensures a balanced approach to surveillance, addressing both interior and exterior security needs. With this expansion, the total number of cameras will increase to sixteen, significantly improving overall site monitoring and security coverage.
System Upgrade Recommendation.
As part of the technical findings, the team identified that the current Network Video Recorder (NVR) is limited to an 8-channel capacity, which cannot support the additional cameras. To accommodate the expansion, the InstallersPH team recommended upgrading the NVR to a 16-channel unit. This upgrade will allow all cameras to be connected into a single, centralized system, ensuring efficient monitoring and smooth system performance.
Storage Enhancement.
In addition to the NVR upgrade, the team also recommended increasing the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) storage capacity. The addition of more cameras will result in a higher volume of recorded footage, requiring larger storage to maintain sufficient video retention. Upgrading the storage will help prevent data limitations and ensure continuous recording for security review and monitoring purposes.
