CCTV IT Support at Blue Ocean Bar, Port Barton.

Introduction.
On-site IT installation and network preparation activities were carried out at the Blue Ocean Bar located in Port Barton, Palawan. The purpose of this project was to establish a structured and reliable network foundation that would support the establishment’s connectivity requirements. Proper installation of IT infrastructure is essential to ensure stable internet access, organized equipment management, and ease of future maintenance. This report documents the activities performed, the scope of work completed, and the overall outcome of the project.
Project Background.
Blue Ocean Bar requires a dependable network setup to support daily operations, customer services, and internal IT needs. Given the increasing reliance on internet connectivity—particularly through Starlink services in remote areas like Port Barton—it is important that network components are properly assembled, installed, and tested. To address these needs, an on-site visit was scheduled to assemble and mount a data cabinet, prepare Ethernet cabling, and verify network connectivity through proper testing procedures. These steps ensure that the IT infrastructure is organized, secure, and capable of delivering consistent performance.
The team arrived at the Blue Ocean Bar at 10:14 AM and conducted an initial site assessment to confirm the designated installation area, particularly the IT room where the data cabinet would be mounted. This assessment allowed the team to plan the workflow efficiently and avoid installation issues.
Scope of Work.
The scope of work began after a lunch break at 12:00 PM, with operations resuming at 12:49 PM. The first major task involved the assembly of the data cabinet, ensuring that all components were properly secured and aligned to accommodate networking equipment.
At 2:41 PM, the assembled data cabinet was mounted inside the Blue Ocean Bar IT room. Careful attention was given to cabinet placement to allow proper ventilation, accessibility, and long-term stability.
Subsequently, at 3:12 PM, the team proceeded with crimping two Starlink Ethernet cables. This process was performed following standard cabling practices to ensure reliable data transmission. To verify the quality and functionality of the cables, LAN cable testing was conducted at 4:00 PM using a cable tester. The tests confirmed that the Ethernet connections were properly wired and ready for operational use.
After completing all tasks, the team departed from the Blue Ocean Bar at 5:17 PM and proceeded to the next site, arriving at the Secret Paradise Resort (SPR) at 6:14 PM.
Conclusion.
The on-site IT installation and network preparation at Blue Ocean Bar were successfully completed within the scheduled timeframe. The proper assembly and mounting of the data cabinet, along with the successful crimping and testing of Ethernet cables, ensured that the establishment now has a well-organized and reliable network infrastructure. This setup provides a strong foundation for stable internet connectivity and future IT expansions, supporting the operational needs of Blue Ocean Bar in Port Barton.
