Fiber Optic Supply and Installation at Rapid Visa -- Second Progress Update.

Introduction
The fiber optic supply and installation project at Rapid Visa has now reached its third progress milestone. This phase focused on enhancing the physical quality of the network by addressing key connection components. Our team from InstallersPH IT Solutions carried out the replacement of faulty or worn SC connectors across the fiber optic lines. This crucial task ensures optimal signal transmission and prepares the infrastructure for long-term, high-speed performance across the facility.
SC Connector Replacement Completed.
One of the primary tasks during this phase was the replacement of several SC (Subscriber Connector) fiber terminations. These connectors are essential for linking fiber strands to networking devices and ensuring stable optical signal transmission. Upon inspection, some connectors were found to be damaged, loosely mounted, or improperly terminated—issues that could lead to signal loss and poor performance.
Our technicians carefully removed and replaced the affected SC connectors using precision tools and procedures. Each fiber strand was stripped, cleaved, and polished before installing new connectors. This process was executed under clean conditions to eliminate dust contamination, a common cause of signal degradation in fiber networks.
Once installed, all new connectors were enclosed with dust caps and tested using light source and power meter tools to verify signal quality and transmission strength.
Cable Path and Line Verification.
In addition to replacing SC connectors, our team conducted a thorough check of the entire fiber route. This included inspecting conduits, junction points, and cable trays to ensure there were no sharp bends, pinch points, or tension spots that could compromise the fiber’s integrity.
Slack management and proper routing were reinforced to reduce stress on the lines and accommodate future maintenance. Cables were neatly bundled and secured within the existing pathways, keeping them protected and organized as the project advances.
These verifications were crucial in ensuring that the network backbone remains stable and ready for high-bandwidth applications required by Rapid Visa’s daily operations.
Signal Quality Testing and Readiness.
Following the physical adjustments, each line was tested to confirm stable light transmission across all fiber runs. Visual fault locators were used to inspect for breaks or attenuation issues, while power meters validated acceptable signal levels at endpoints.
This testing ensures that the upgraded SC connectors and verified cable paths are now optimized for the next phase of implementation. The system is now better positioned to support data-intensive tasks such as real-time communications, cloud services, and digital file processing.
Conclusion
With the SC connector replacement completed and fiber lines successfully verified, the Rapid Visa office is one step closer to achieving a fully operational and optimized fiber optic network. This third update marks the transition from rough installation to fine-tuning and signal assurance.
