CCTV Support Services at Monterazas.

Introduction.

InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a scheduled CCTV Support Service at Monterazas to address the client’s concerns regarding their existing surveillance system. The visit focused on diagnosing recording issues, performing preventive maintenance services (PMS), and ensuring that all cameras were functioning optimally for security and monitoring purposes. Our team, composed of Sir Louie and Sir Charlo, carried out a thorough inspection and restoration of the system.

Arrival and Initial Assessment.

The team began the trip at 9:48 AM and arrived onsite at 10:26 AM. Upon arrival, we proceeded with initial troubleshooting and verification of the reported issue. Although all CCTV cameras were displaying properly on the monitor, the client could not access any recorded footage or replay past incidents. This became the primary concern for the service visit.

Preventive Maintenance Services (PMS).

At 10:47 AM, the team started the Preventive Maintenance Services. PMS is a vital part of maintaining a reliable surveillance system; it ensures that all components are clean, secure, and functioning as intended. Sir Louie and Sir Charlo opened the system components to inspect the internal connections and storage hardware.

By 10:54 AM, the exact problem was confirmed. While the system was able to display live video feeds from all cameras, it was not saving or retaining any recorded clips. This indicated a potential issue with either the physical connections, the HDD, or both.

Troubleshooting and Repairs.

The team immediately addressed the identified problems. The following corrective actions were performed:

1. Checking and Securing the RJ45 Connections

Some of the RJ45 connectors for the cameras required adjustment. These network plugs are essential for stable video transmission and communication with the NVR. The team resecured, cleaned, and properly fitted each connector to ensure uninterrupted data flow.

2. Cleaning and Inspecting the HDD

The hard disk drive (HDD), which stores all CCTV recordings, was removed and inspected. It was cleaned and checked thoroughly for errors or improper seating. The drive was reinstalled securely to restore proper recording functionality.

These steps successfully resolved the system’s recording issue.
