CCTV Site Inspection at Asian Grains.

Introduction

InstallersPH IT Solutions recently conducted a comprehensive CCTV site inspection at the Asian Grains facility following a formal request for a full-scale surveillance system. The client requested a total of 20 CCTV cameras, 2 Network Video Recorders (NVRs), 2 monitors, and 2 Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switches to improve security and ensure thorough visual coverage of the premises.

The purpose of the inspection was to assess the facility’s infrastructure and determine the most efficient way to deploy the requested equipment while maximizing surveillance reliability and performance.

System Requirements.

The requested surveillance setup consists of the following:

  • 20 CCTV cameras

  • 2 NVR units

  • 2 monitors

  • 2 PoE switches

The cameras will be divided evenly—10 cameras per PoE switch, with each switch supplying both power and data connectivity to the connected cameras. This arrangement ensures proper distribution of power load and optimal video transmission performance.

Site Assessment and Camera Allocation.

During the walkthrough inspection, our technical team coordinated with Asian Grains management to evaluate key surveillance zones. These include entry and exit points, production floors, warehousing areas, perimeter fences, and administrative offices.

Each set of 10 CCTV cameras will be grouped and linked to its own PoE switch. This structure was planned to keep cabling efficient and organized, with the PoE switches positioned strategically to shorten cable lengths and reduce signal degradation. Each group of 10 cameras will also correspond to its dedicated NVR unit, ensuring smooth footage management, localized storage, and easier system troubleshooting if issues arise.

Recording and Monitoring Setup.

The two NVRs will be configured independently, with separate video storage and management functions for their respective camera groups. Both NVRs will be connected to their corresponding monitors, which will be installed in secure locations—likely the security control room and main administrative office.

This dual-monitor setup allows Asian Grains personnel to view real-time footage from different zones of the facility without system overload. Furthermore, remote access will be configured, allowing authorized users to access live and recorded footage through secure devices over the network.

Special Considerations.

With the client’s signature on the acceptance certificate, the system is now officially in service. Our support team remains available for post-turnover assistance; this includes remote guidance, on-site visits when needed, firmware updates, and periodic health checks. We recommend a quarterly review to confirm camera focus, cleanliness of housings, storage capacity, and user access lists. Should the pension house expand or reposition cameras, our team can extend the system while preserving performance and security.

Conclusion

The site inspection at Asian Grains concluded with a clear and scalable plan for a 20-camera surveillance system supported by 2 NVRs, 2 PoE switches, and 2 monitoring stations. The proposed design balances performance, coverage, and future expandability.

Asian Grains management expressed satisfaction with the inspection results and gave positive feedback on the system layout recommendations. With site assessments completed and design planning finalized, the project is now ready to proceed to the installation phase, which will significantly boost the facility’s overall security and monitoring capability.
