Structured Cabling at Talisay Residential Property -- 6th Progress Update.

Introduction

In this sixth progress update, the team focused on organizing and securing the large volume of CAT6 cables running toward the data cabinet. To achieve this, a large vertical cable manager was installed outside the data cabinet, extending from the ground up to the ceiling. This addition ensures a clean, professional finish while protecting the cables and maintaining accessibility for future maintenance.

Work Accomplished:

Installation of External Cable Manager.
With all the CAT6 cables from different parts of the house now terminated and tested, the team needed an efficient way to handle the bulk of cables converging at the cabinet entry point. A vertical cable manager—rigid and open-slot type—was installed securely against the wall beside the cabinet, running from the bottom floor level all the way up to ceiling height.

This manager serves as a containment pathway for the high-density cable group, guiding them neatly down into the data cabinet’s top entry point.

Routing and Bundling of Cables.
The team then grouped the CAT6 cables by function or destination (e.g., bedrooms, common areas, CCTV) and routed them vertically through the cable manager. Velcro straps and cable loops were used to keep each bundle organized without pinching or applying stress to the lines. All excess slack was tucked and secured within the cable channel.

Aesthetic and Safety Benefits.
Installing the external cable manager not only improves the visual layout of the installation but also enhances safety and serviceability. The cable run is now protected from physical damage, tangles, and accidental snags. Technicians can also trace and access cables easily when changes or maintenance are needed in the future.

Professional Finish.
The vertical manager provides a clean transition from the ceiling conduits down to the cabinet inlet. The structured presentation gives the installation a professional-grade appearance—showcasing attention to detail and adherence to network cabling best practices.

Conclusion

With the external vertical cable manager now in place, the structured cabling system at the Talisay property is not only functional but efficiently organized and visually optimized. This progress update ensures that the high-volume CAT6 cabling is well-contained, protected, and easy to manage moving forward.
