Structured Cabling at Talisay Residential Property -- 5th Progress Update.

Introduction

In the fifth progress milestone of the structured cabling installation at the Talisay residential property, the team completed the termination of all CAT6 cables at wall-mounted outlets, followed by testing and the secure installation of faceplates. This stage is essential in finalizing the network endpoints distributed throughout the home.

Work Accomplished:

  • Termination of CAT6 Cables
The previously routed CAT6 cables were accessed at each wall outlet location. Each cable was trimmed, stripped, and punched down into keystone jacks using the T568B standard. The team ensured that proper twist ratios were preserved to prevent signal degradation and maintain optimal data transmission performance.

  • Cable Testing
Once terminated, every outlet was individually tested using a professional cable tester to verify continuity, correct pin mapping, and signal integrity. This ensured that each run from the wall outlet to the data cabinet was fully functional. Any terminations that did not meet standard were promptly corrected and re-tested.

  • Faceplate Installation
After successful testing, the keystone jacks were mounted into faceplates and installed flush into their respective wall boxes. Each outlet was labeled to match the identifier system already established on the patch panel side, maintaining consistency for easier device setup and network maintenance.

Conclusion

With all wall-mounted outlets now terminated, tested, and sealed with labeled faceplates, the structured cabling framework is nearly complete. These finished endpoints now provide reliable, high-speed connection points throughout the property—ready to support devices like access points, smart TVs, workstations, and surveillance equipment.

This progress brings the project to the brink of completion. The final stage will focus on integrating the active network components into the data cabinet, powering up the system, and delivering a fully operational, centralized network that meets the client’s current and future needs.
