Smart Vehicle Access: RFID & ANPR Boom Barrier Site Inspection at Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation.

Introduction.

As businesses and manufacturing facilities continue to strengthen their security and vehicle management systems, automated access control can provide a more organized and efficient way to manage vehicles entering and leaving the premises. On August 28, 2026, InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a meeting and site inspection at Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation to discuss the proposed installation of three Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) boom barriers.

The proposed system is designed to improve vehicle access control, strengthen security, and support better parking management within the facility.

Proposed Three-Boom Barrier Setup.

The proposed project includes three automatic boom barriers strategically assigned to the facility’s entry points.

Two boom barriers are planned for the Main Gate, while one will be installed at the Semona Compound. Each barrier will work with ANPR technology to identify vehicle plate numbers and determine whether a vehicle is authorized to enter.

This setup is intended to make vehicle entry more organized while reducing the need for manual access verification.

Vehicle Registration and Access Management.

One of the key requirements discussed during the meeting was the vehicle registration process.

Authorized personnel will be responsible for registering vehicle plate numbers into the system. This allows the facility to maintain a record of authorized vehicles and control which vehicles are permitted to enter.

The system will also support monitoring of employee and OJT vehicles, helping management track vehicle entry and exit while discouraging unauthorized or overnight parking.

For guests with scheduled meetings, their vehicle plate numbers can be temporarily registered to provide authorized access for the duration of their visit.

How the ANPR Boom Barrier Will Work.

The proposed system is designed to automatically read a vehicle’s plate number as it approaches the entrance.

If the plate number matches an authorized registration, the system can trigger the boom barrier to open. Once the vehicle has passed through, the barrier will automatically close.

The project will also consider anti-tailgating functionality, which can help prevent an unauthorized vehicle from following closely behind an authorized vehicle and passing through without proper verification.

Motorcycle access will also be included in the system requirements. In addition, a manual button or remote control may be provided for authorized personnel when manual operation is necessary, particularly for certain guest or special-access situations.

Site Assessment and Installation Planning.

During the inspection, the InstallersPH team evaluated the proposed installation areas and considered several factors that could affect system performance.

These included the available space, vehicle approach and traffic flow, appropriate ANPR camera positioning, boom barrier clearance, and possible cable routes.

The existing power source at the Main Gate was also identified for further evaluation to determine its suitability for the proposed equipment.

Proper cable routing and protection will be considered to maintain a safe, organized, and reliable installation.

Finalizing the System Design.

The site inspection provided InstallersPH with a clearer understanding of the facility’s requirements and actual site conditions. Before installation begins, the final equipment layout, camera positions, power requirements, cable routing, and system configuration will be carefully finalized.

Proper planning is essential to ensure that the three proposed ANPR boom barriers operate efficiently while meeting the client’s security and parking management requirements.

Conclusion.

The proposed ANPR boom barrier system for Panasonic Manufacturing Philippines Corporation represents a step toward smarter and more controlled vehicle access.

By combining automated plate recognition, authorized vehicle registration, anti-tailgating measures, and flexible access options, the system can help improve security while making vehicle entry and exit more efficient.

At InstallersPH IT Solutions, we believe that successful technology implementation starts with proper assessment and planning. Through a detailed site inspection and careful system design, we aim to provide solutions that are secure, organized, reliable, and suited to each client’s operational needs.
