RFID AUTOMATIC BOOM BARRIER SUPPORT AT JECO.
Introduction.
On June 26, 2026, the technical team of InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a field visit to JECO to resolve an issue involving expired RFID speaker tags. The primary objective of the visit was to renew the expired RFID credentials, restore the normal functionality of the RFID system, and ensure that all affected devices were operating correctly. This activity provided another valuable opportunity to apply technical knowledge in a real-world environment while strengthening practical skills in system troubleshooting, software configuration, and maintenance.
Identifying the Root Cause of the Issue.
Upon arriving at the site, the technical team coordinated with the personnel responsible for the RFID system to gather information regarding the reported problem. According to the client, several RFID speakers had stopped functioning because their RFID credentials had expired. Since the system could no longer recognize these credentials, the affected devices became inaccessible and were unable to perform their intended functions.
Rather than immediately assuming that the issue was hardware-related, the team followed a systematic troubleshooting process. Both the RFID hardware and the computer connected to the system were carefully inspected to determine the exact cause of the malfunction.
Software Configuration and RFID Credential Renewal.
After confirming that all hardware components were operating properly, the team shifted its attention to the software installed on the system’s computer. During the inspection, a dedicated configuration menu for RFID management was identified within the application. This feature allowed administrators to manage and renew RFID credentials directly through the software.
Using the available tools, the technical team accessed the renewal settings and updated the expired RFID credentials assigned to each affected speaker. Every step of the process was completed carefully to ensure that the renewal was applied correctly without affecting the overall system configuration.
Once the renewal process was completed, each RFID speaker was tested individually. The successful recognition of every device confirmed that the updated credentials had been properly registered, allowing the speakers to resume normal operation without requiring any hardware replacement.
