CCTV Supply and Installation at Roz Laboratory Consolacion -- 6th Progress Update.
Introduction
Roz Laboratory in Consolacion is currently upgrading its security system with a new CCTV installation. The project aims to strengthen site monitoring and ensure safety of equipment, staff, and operations. This sixth progress update provides a summary of completed tasks, current challenges, and next steps.
Work Completed
The team has completed major work for this stage of the project. CAT6 cables were properly terminated at the data cabinet to ensure stable connections. The Network Video Recorder (NVR) was also configured, and a monitor was installed for real-time viewing and playback.
All 14 CCTV cameras are now fully installed and connected. This means Roz Laboratory already has complete camera coverage in all planned areas, and the physical installation phase is finished.
Challenges Encountered
The main issue faced is system compatibility. During configuration, the cameras’ IP addresses did not appear, indicating that the NVR installed is not compatible with the CCTV cameras. Since the NVR is the central hub for recording and managing footage, this problem prevents the system from operating fully.
To address this, the team decided not to return to the site immediately. The next steps will involve either reconfiguring the system, updating the NVR, or replacing it with a compatible model to ensure smooth integration.
Conclusion
The project is close to completion, with most of the installation already done. The remaining task is to resolve the NVR compatibility issue so that all cameras can function as intended. Once this is fixed, Roz Laboratory will have a complete and reliable CCTV surveillance system, providing stronger security and peace of mind for its operations.
