CCTV SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION AT ACS -- 10TH PROGRESS UPDATE.

Introduction
The CCTV installation project at ACS Manufacturing Corporation has reached another major milestone. With all bullet-type CCTV cameras now successfully installed throughout the warehouse, the focus has shifted to finalizing core network hardware integration. This phase included organizing cable infrastructure in the server room, assembling the PoE switch, and initiating the main server connection process. As of this update, only the final round of Cat6 cable testing and minor cleanup tasks remain.
This progress positions the project firmly in its final technical stage, paving the way for system testing, software calibration, and full commissioning.
Full Camera Installation Completed
All designated CCTV cameras have now been mounted securely across the ACS warehouse interior. Strategically positioned high on the walls, these bullet cameras provide complete visual coverage of operational zones, entryways, and production areas. Each camera was installed using durable mounting brackets and aligned according to the surveillance layout to ensure optimal field of view with minimal blind spots.
With the physical placement of cameras finalized, each unit has been tested for mechanical stability and initial power connectivity. Their respective Cat6 lines—previously routed through PVC conduit and flexible hoses—are now fully terminated and ready for integration with the main system. This final batch of installations completes the hardware rollout for the surveillance side of the project.
Cable Management Using PVC Mouldings
Inside the server and control room, the team carried out thorough cable organization in preparation for final network assembly. Unlike typical quick-fix methods like Velcro or plastic ties, our team implemented clean, permanent cable routing using white PVC mouldings. This method offers not only visual neatness but also long-term protection against dust, physical stress, and accidental snags.
These mouldings run along the perimeter of the room’s interior, keeping data cables securely tucked and aligned for optimal airflow and accessibility. This ensures an efficient, professional-grade finish in the server area—a crucial hub for monitoring and managing the entire surveillance system.
PoE Switch Assembly and Server Integration
With cable organization complete, our team assembled and mounted the Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch inside the server rack. The switch acts as the primary power and data distributor for all IP-based CCTV units across the facility.
Technicians spliced the Cat6 cables where necessary, using precision tools to strip and re-crimp connectors, ensuring minimal signal loss and strong connections. Each cable was then neatly inserted into the designated PoE port and tested for link activity.
Simultaneously, the switch was connected to the Network Video Recorder (NVR) and the main server. Early checks confirmed that several camera feeds were already transmitting successfully to the system dashboard, showing live video footage from critical zones within the warehouse.
Conclusion
The 10th progress update marks a critical advancement in the ACS CCTV installation project. With all cameras installed and Cat6 cabling neatly organized using PVC mouldings, the system’s backbone is now in place. The PoE switch and server have been successfully integrated, enabling the start of real-time video capture from the warehouse.
Only final testing and cleanup of a few remaining Cat6 lines remain before moving into full configuration, software setup, and final commissioning. Our team continues to work efficiently and meticulously to ensure that ACS Manufacturing Corporation receives a surveillance system built to perform, protect, and last.
