Introduction.
In today’s environment, ensuring the safety and security of residential properties has become increasingly important. InstallersPH IT Solutions recently completed a CCTV and Network Video Recorder (NVR) supply and installation project for a returning client located along Cebu Transcentral Highway, Cebu City. The project, carried out from April 8 to 11, 2026, focused on upgrading the client’s existing surveillance system and expanding coverage to eliminate blind spots within the property.
Project Background and System Upgrade.
The client already had an existing setup of eight CCTV cameras installed around the residence. However, upon reassessment, several areas were identified as vulnerable due to limited camera visibility. To address these concerns, the client decided to install eight additional CCTV units, bringing the total to sixteen cameras for more comprehensive monitoring.
With this expansion, it became necessary to upgrade the existing NVR and CCTV system to support the increased number of cameras. A thorough site inspection was conducted prior to installation to determine the most strategic camera placements. This step ensured that all critical areas of the property would be covered efficiently, maximizing both security and system performance.
Installation Process and Daily Progress.
The project officially began on April 8, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. During this initial phase, the team focused on molding works to create organized and secure cable pathways. This process was essential in ensuring proper wire management and reliable power supply to each CCTV unit.
On April 9, installation activities continued, particularly at the rear portion of the house where additional molding was completed. At the same time, the team began mounting CCTV cameras at the front area and upper sections of the residence, marking the transition from preparation to actual device installation.
By April 10, the installation progressed further into the back and interior areas of the property. To enhance cable protection and maintain a clean setup, PVC pipes were installed along the rear wall. This not only safeguarded the wiring but also contributed to a more organized and professional finish.
On the final day, April 11, the team carried out system optimization and testing. All cameras were carefully angled to achieve optimal coverage across the property. Configuration and functionality checks were performed to ensure that each unit, including its audio features, was working properly. Additionally, the system password was reset upon the client’s request to restore access.
System Turnover and Final Touches.
The project was successfully completed at approximately 2:00 PM on April 11, followed by a smooth turnover of the fully operational system. All cameras were online and accessible, providing the client with improved monitoring capabilities and enhanced peace of mind.
As part of the finishing touches, a follow-up visit has been scheduled for painting the installed PVC pipes at the rear area. This final step will further improve the overall appearance of the installation.
