On October 29, 2026, InstallersPH IT Solutions successfully completed a network configuration project for Aurelix Co. Inc., involving a MikroTik router and Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series switches.
Network Infrastructure Configuration.
The project focused on establishing and configuring the network connection between the Internet Service Provider (ISP), MikroTik router, and Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series switches.
The MikroTik router was configured using the static IP address information provided by the ISP, following the client’s network requirements. This configuration established the necessary connection between the internet service and the internal network infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the Cisco Catalyst 2960 Series switches were configured to support the required Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs). VLAN configuration allows a network to be logically divided into separate segments, helping organize connected devices and manage network traffic more efficiently.
Through proper network segmentation, businesses can establish a more organized infrastructure while maintaining better control over communication between different network groups.
Bandwidth Management and Network Optimization.
Another important part of the project was implementing bandwidth management on the MikroTik router.
Based on the client’s request, each user was assigned a maximum bandwidth limit of 10 Mbps. This configuration helps distribute available network resources more fairly among connected users and prevents individual users from consuming excessive bandwidth.
Proper bandwidth management is particularly important in business environments where multiple users access online applications, communication platforms, cloud services, and other internet-dependent resources simultaneously.
By implementing these limits, the network can maintain a more controlled allocation of available bandwidth based on the client’s requirements.
Connectivity Testing and Verification.
After completing the router and switch configurations, the InstallersPH technical team conducted connectivity testing to verify the functionality of the network infrastructure.
Communication between the MikroTik router and Cisco switches was tested, along with connectivity verification for each configured VLAN.
