Introduction.
On March 27, 2026, the InstallersPH IT Solutions team conducted a comprehensive site inspection at One Oasis Condominium Cebu located along Pres. Magsaysay St., Cebu City to assess the current security setup and determine the necessary steps for an effective Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) installation. The main objective of this activity was to evaluate optimal camera placements, enhance monitoring capabilities, and improve the overall safety and security of residents and properties within the condominium premises.

Scope of Inspection.
During the site inspection, a total of five buildings were carefully assessed, with a primary focus on specific units and areas that currently lack CCTV coverage. The team evaluated potential installation points to ensure maximum visibility while minimizing blind spots. These areas included entry and exit points, corridors, and other critical zones that require consistent monitoring. This detailed assessment is essential in planning a strategic CCTV layout that will provide efficient and reliable surveillance throughout the property.
Identified Challenges.
Several challenges were identified during the inspection that may affect the installation process. One of the main concerns is the absence of manholes, which are typically used as pathways for cable routing. This limitation may complicate the wiring setup and require alternative solutions. Additionally, the team observed that certain walls, especially those near the planned Digital Video Recorder (DVR) location, have thick structural materials that could make drilling and installation more difficult. These challenges highlight the need for careful planning and the use of appropriate tools and techniques to avoid delays in the project.
Recommendations and Solutions.
Despite the identified challenges, the installation of the CCTV system remains highly feasible. The team recommended implementing alternative cable routing methods, such as using surface-mounted conduits or utilizing existing structural pathways where possible. To address the issue of thick walls, the use of heavy-duty drilling equipment and advanced installation tools is advised. Additionally, proper planning of the DVR location is crucial to minimize connection difficulties and ensure easier system maintenance. These recommendations are designed to ensure a smooth, efficient, and high-quality implementation of the project.
