Camera Specification Evaluation.

Based on the layout and the client’s objectives, the team determined that 2-megapixel (2MP) cameras would be ideal for the installation. These cameras provide clear and detailed footage suitable for office environments, where facial recognition, activity monitoring, and general oversight are the primary goals.

The following factors supported the suitability of 2MP cameras:

  • Adequate Clarity; 2MP resolution offers sufficient image quality to clearly identify individuals and activities within a small enclosed area.

  • Wide Coverage; given the compact space, the cameras’ standard field of view is more than enough to cover the essential corners of the office.

  • Cost-Effectiveness; selecting 2MP cameras helps the client achieve reliable surveillance without the need for higher-priced equipment that may offer unnecessary features.

  • Low-light Capability; modern 2MP cameras generally include infrared (IR) illumination, ensuring visibility even during low-light conditions.

 

The team confirmed that upgrading to higher-resolution cameras would not significantly improve monitoring efficiency for this particular site. Thus, the recommended 2MP camera setup aligned perfectly with the office’s technical and functional requirements.
