CCTV DVR Installation at Amara Residences.

Video.
Introduction.
On June 18, 2026, from 2:20 PM to 3:10 PM, our technical team conducted a CCTV DVR installation at Amara Residences. The activity focused on restoring the recording system after a reset, checking the existing camera connections, and assessing the network requirements needed for remote access. Upon arrival, the main concern was ensuring that the DVR unit would be properly configured and fully operational after being reset. The team also observed several cameras that were not functioning correctly, which required further technical evaluation from the client’s designated technician.
DVR Installation and System Restoration.
The first step of the activity involved installing the DVR unit after it had been reset. Once powered on, the device was properly configured and reinstalled into the system. The setup process was completed successfully, allowing the DVR to resume normal recording functions. After installation, the system was checked for stability to ensure that the basic surveillance operations were running without interruption.
Camera Connectivity and Technical Concerns.
After the DVR setup, the team noticed that some CCTV cameras were not displaying any feed. This issue was immediately noted and communicated to the client. According to the client, there is an assigned technical contact who is familiar with the wiring layout and will be responsible for tracing and verifying the camera connections. This step is necessary to determine whether the issue is caused by cabling faults, power interruptions, or port-related concerns on the DVR system. Further inspection is required before full camera functionality can be restored.
Internet Connectivity and Remote Access Requirement.
Another important aspect of the system is its ability to go online for remote viewing. The existing internet service provided by Globe was no longer active, possibly due to service disconnection or non-payment issues. As an alternative, the client used a Starlink Gen 2 internet kit. However, this model does not have a direct RJ45 Ethernet port, which is required for connecting the DVR to the network.
To address this limitation, it was recommended to acquire a Starlink Ethernet adapter. This will allow proper connection between the Starlink device and the DVR system. Additionally, structured wiring will be needed from the DVR going to the Starlink setup to ensure a stable and continuous internet connection. This proposed improvement will enable the CCTV system to be accessed online once fully implemented.
Conclusion.
The CCTV DVR installation at Amara Residences was successfully completed in terms of system restoration and basic setup. While the DVR is now operational after the reset, additional work is still required to resolve the non-functioning cameras and to establish a reliable internet connection for remote monitoring. Coordination with the client’s technical contact and the implementation of the recommended network solution will be essential in achieving a fully functional and online-ready CCTV system.
