CCTV and Access Point Site Inspection at Amara.

Introduction
On June 11, 2025 the team from Installersph IT Solutions conducted a site inspection at Amara to assess the feasibility and requirements for the installation of CCTV systems and Access Points (APs) in two separate residential houses. The inspection aimed to gather vital details on camera and AP placements, structured cabling pathways, and client-provided equipment to prepare for a smooth implementation phase.
Explainer Video
House 1: Structured Layout and Design Readiness.
The first house featured a relatively organized setup ideal for structured cabling work. During the walkthrough, the team identified roughly five (5) camera locations, strategically positioned to cover the perimeter and common entry points. In addition to CCTV needs, the property also required five (5) Access Point locations, indicating a comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage requirement throughout the home, including outdoor or patio areas.
One of the highlights of House 1 was the designated room for cable droppings; a significant advantage in ensuring clean, secure, and centralized cable management. This room will serve as the main location for the data cabinet, patch panels, and power distribution for both the CCTV and wireless network components. The readiness of this room contributes positively to the efficiency of the future installation process and minimizes the need for invasive routing through the interiors.
House 2: Enhanced Connectivity Requirements.
The second residential unit had a similar surveillance requirement, with roughly five (5) CCTV camera locations identified. However, it showed a greater demand for wireless connectivity, with six (6) Access Point locations proposed during the inspection. These additional APs may cater to more extended areas such as multi-level floors, guest areas, or detached structures within the property.
Like the first house, House 2 is also equipped with a dedicated room for cable droppings, allowing centralized termination of cables and organized network management. This infrastructure readiness signals the property’s suitability for a high-quality structured cabling system, which is essential for long-term maintenance and optimal device performance.
Client Inputs and Next Steps.
During the site inspection, the client shared that they will be supplying the CCTV cameras to be used for the installation. Additionally, the client confirmed that a detailed floor plan will be provided, which includes a mapped layout of all CCTV and Access Point locations, along with directional indicators for camera coverage. This approach is critical in aligning the installation with the client’s expectations for monitoring angles and wireless coverage areas.
The provision of a floor plan and precise location mapping from the client will significantly assist the design and installation team in executing the structured cabling and device setup with minimal rework or adjustments.
Conclusion
The site inspection at Amara successfully established the groundwork for a seamless installation of CCTV and Access Point systems across two residential properties. With camera and AP counts confirmed, cable dropping rooms in place, and client-supplied components and layout plans underway, the Installersph IT Solutions team is well-positioned to proceed with the structured cabling design and project execution in the upcoming phases.
