BIOMETRIC SITE INSPECTION AND CLOUD SERVER INTEGRATION.
Introduction.
A site inspection was conducted at E-Mall, Cebu City on September 8, 2026, to assess the client’s existing biometric attendance system and determine the requirements for transitioning to a cloud-based attendance management setup.
The inspection focused on the current method of retrieving attendance records, the condition and compatibility of the existing biometric device, and the requirements for integrating the system with a cloud server.
Existing Biometric Attendance System.
The client currently uses an existing biometric device to record employee attendance. However, attendance data is presently retrieved manually through a USB device.
While this method allows attendance records to be collected, it requires physical access to the biometric device and manual extraction of the stored data. The client expressed the need for a more efficient solution that would allow attendance information to be synchronized and accessed remotely.
Cloud-Based Integration Requirement.
The proposed setup aims to transition the client from manual USB data extraction to a cloud-based attendance system.
With cloud integration, attendance data can be automatically uploaded and synchronized to the cloud server. This will allow authorized users to retrieve and access attendance records without regularly using a USB device to extract data from the biometric terminal.
The setup is intended to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and management of attendance information.
Biometric Device Compatibility Assessment.
During the inspection, the existing biometric device was evaluated for its suitability for the proposed cloud-based setup.
Based on the assessment, compatibility between the existing device and the required cloud-based system cannot be guaranteed. To ensure proper integration and reliable operation, replacing the existing biometric device was recommended.
A compatible biometric device from InstallersPH will be supplied and installed as part of the proposed solution.
Proposed System Upgrade.
The replacement biometric device will be selected based on its compatibility with the required cloud server integration. Once installed and properly configured, the device will support the automatic synchronization of attendance records to the cloud platform.
This approach will eliminate the need for manual USB-based data retrieval and provide a more streamlined process for managing attendance information.
Benefits of the Proposed Setup.
The cloud-based biometric system will provide a more convenient method of managing attendance records. Automatic synchronization reduces manual data extraction and allows attendance information to be accessed through the cloud.
The proposed replacement also helps ensure that the biometric device and cloud platform work together properly, providing a more reliable and manageable attendance solution.
Conclusion.
The site inspection at E-Mall confirmed the client’s requirement to upgrade from manual USB-based attendance data retrieval to a cloud-integrated biometric system.
Since compatibility of the existing biometric device with the proposed cloud setup cannot be guaranteed, a compatible biometric device from InstallersPH will be supplied and installed. The upgrade will enable attendance data to be automatically synchronized and accessed through the cloud, providing a more efficient and convenient attendance management process.
