The Binaliw Starlink Supply and Installation project was conducted to provide a fast, stable, and reliable internet connection in a remote site where conventional connectivity solutions were unavailable. The client required immediate internet access to support ongoing operations, making rapid deployment a critical requirement. Due to confidentiality protocols, the installation team was not permitted to take photos or videos during the process; therefore, this report documents the project through a detailed written account.
To meet the client’s needs, the team implemented a satellite-based internet solution using Starlink technology. After assessing the site conditions and operational requirements, four Starlink devices were installed in different areas to ensure sufficient coverage, stable connectivity, and continuous access for site personnel.
Background of the Project.
The project site is located in an area with minimal to no cellular signal reception, making SIM card–based internet services unreliable and impractical. Additionally, the site lacked existing wired network infrastructure, and there was insufficient time to install structured cabling and wired access points due to the urgency of the situation.
Initial assessment revealed that deploying a single Starlink device would not adequately support the number of users and the geographic spread of the site. Network congestion and limited coverage were identified as potential risks. To address these challenges, the installation team decided to deploy multiple Starlink units across different locations. This approach ensured load distribution, improved coverage, and minimized connectivity interruptions.
The site also relied on generator-powered electricity, which required the internet solution to be compatible with off-grid power systems. Starlink was selected because of its ability to operate reliably under these conditions while delivering high-speed and low-latency connectivity.
