Starlink Site Inspection at Carmelray Industrial Corporation.

Project Overview.
On July 9, 2026, the InstallersPH IT Solutions team traveled from Makati City to Canlubang, Calamba, Laguna to conduct a site inspection for the planned installation of a Starlink Gen 3 satellite internet system. The team departed at 11:52 AM and arrived at the client’s location at approximately 1:55 PM, traveling via bus commute and the Move It app. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate the installation area, discuss the client’s requirements, and determine the most suitable routing for the Starlink equipment and cabling before the actual installation.
Determining the Router Location.
Upon arrival, the team met with the client’s staff and electrician to discuss the ideal placement of the Starlink Gen 3 router. Selecting the right router location is important because it affects cable routing, accessibility, and overall network performance. After evaluating the available spaces, the client recommended placing the router near a window, which provided a practical location for the equipment while keeping it easily accessible for future maintenance. The team confirmed that the proposed location would also simplify the cable installation process.
Inspecting the Cable Pathway.
The next step of the inspection focused on identifying the most efficient cable pathway from the router location to the rooftop where the Starlink dish would be installed. The client’s electrician advised the team to follow the existing Cat6 cable route, beginning from the data cabinet, continuing upward through the wall, passing above the ceiling, and leading directly to the rooftop. Using the existing cable pathway minimizes unnecessary drilling and construction work while keeping the installation organized and professional. The team carefully examined the proposed route to ensure that it would safely accommodate the Starlink cable.
Ceiling Access and Dish Mounting Location.
The inspection also included checking the ceiling access points that would be used during cable installation. The client confirmed that there was a ceiling manhole, and upon inspection, the team found that it was spacious enough to allow technicians to move comfortably while routing the cable. This would help make the installation process safer and more efficient. The team then proceeded to inspect the rooftop and discussed the preferred mounting location for the Starlink Gen 3 dish. The client requested that the satellite dish be mounted on top of the existing pole located on the rooftop. Since the pole already provided a secure and elevated position, it was considered a suitable mounting point that would help achieve an unobstructed view of the sky for optimal satellite connectivity.
Cable Length Assessment and Recommendation.
During the inspection, the team measured the distance between the proposed router location and the planned dish mounting point. After completing the measurements, it was determined that the standard 15-meter Starlink cable included with the Starlink Gen 3 kit would not be sufficient to cover the required distance. To address this issue, the team recommended using a 46-meter Starlink extension cable, which was the longest compatible cable available. This recommendation would allow the installation to be completed without compromising cable routing or equipment placement while ensuring a stable and reliable connection between the router and the satellite dish.
Conclusion
The site inspection was successfully completed at approximately 2:22 PM. Through close coordination with the client’s staff and electrician, the team identified the optimal router location, confirmed the most practical cable pathway, inspected the available ceiling access, selected an appropriate rooftop mounting location, and determined the required cable length for the installation. The inspection provided all the necessary information needed to prepare for the Starlink Gen 3 installation. With the recommended 46-meter extension cable and the confirmed installation plan, the project is well-positioned for a smooth and efficient deployment that will deliver reliable satellite internet connectivity to the client.
