RFID AUTOMATIC BOOM BARRIER SUPPORT AT JECO.
Introduction.
InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a site inspection to assess a reported issue involving a boom barrier system at the client’s property. The inspection focused on determining the condition of the equipment, identifying the possible cause of the damage, and assessing the requirements for restoring the boom barrier to proper operating condition.
Based on the information provided by the site guard and the team’s inspection, the damage was associated with a physical impact involving a water truck passing through the gate while the boom barrier was closing.
Site Incident Overview.
According to the site guard, the incident occurred when a water truck attempted to pass through the gate while closely following another vehicle. The boom barrier detected the first vehicle and initiated its automatic closing sequence.
While the barrier was closing, the water truck continued moving through the gate. The vehicle reportedly remained within the operating area of the swing arm, resulting in contact between the truck and the barrier arm.
The impact caused the swing arm to bend and become misaligned.
Inspection of the Boom Barrier.
During the site inspection, the technical team examined the boom barrier and assessed the condition of the swing arm. The swing arm was visibly bent and misaligned, indicating physical damage.
The team reviewed the circumstances reported by the site guard and determined that the observed damage was consistent with physical impact from the passing vehicle.
The inspection focused on the condition of the equipment and the circumstances surrounding the reported incident to determine the appropriate next steps for repair or replacement.
Cause of Damage.
Based on the information gathered during the inspection, the damage resulted from the swing arm coming into contact with the water truck while the barrier was in the process of closing.
The reported sequence involved the water truck following closely behind another vehicle. The boom barrier responded to the first vehicle by initiating its automatic closing operation, while the water truck continued through the gate.

The team also verified the warranty status of the boom barrier system. The equipment’s warranty period has already expired.
Since the reported damage was caused by physical impact and the equipment is already outside its warranty period, the damage is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
