CCTV Support at Movenpick Condo Tower -- 2nd Progress Update.

Introduction: Moving from Local to Remote Monitoring.
Following the successful replacement of the non-functional DVR in the initial visit, the next crucial step in enhancing the CCTV system at Movenpick Condo Tower was to bring the new DVR online. This second progress update outlines the completion of the remaining scope of work; configuring the DVR for internet access and enabling remote monitoring through the DMSS mobile app on the client’s tablet. With this capability now in place, security personnel and building administrators can conveniently access live and recorded CCTV footage anytime, anywhere.

Scope of Work: Setting the DVR Online.
The main objective for this follow-up visit was to establish secure remote access to the CCTV system. The goal was to integrate the new NVR into the property’s network, configure internet access, and assist the client in setting up the DMSS app for real-time monitoring and playback via their tablet.
Network Configuration and Connectivity Setup.
The IT support team began by performing a network scan and identifying the active router and available IP ranges. A static IP address was assigned to the DVR to ensure it maintained a stable internal connection. With port forwarding previously deferred, the team instead utilized P2P (Peer-to-Peer) cloud connectivity; a secure and reliable option provided by the NVR manufacturer to allow app-based remote access without complex firewall adjustments.
The NVR’s network settings were configured to connect through the building’s internet service, and a successful connection to the P2P server was established. A unique device ID and QR code were generated for integration with the DMSS mobile application.
DMSS App Setup and Device Pairing.
With the NVR online, attention turned to the client’s device. The DMSS app, a user-friendly mobile platform for Dahua-based systems, was downloaded and installed on the client’s tablet. Using the QR code generated from the DVR, the device was paired with the app. Live camera feeds were immediately visible, confirming successful remote access.
The client was then guided through a brief tutorial covering key features of the DMSS app, including:
Live viewing of individual and grouped camera channels
Playback of recorded footage
Notifications and motion detection settings
Switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data modes
Accessing logs and system alerts
Testing and Final Validation.
Before concluding the visit, a complete test was conducted. The client successfully connected to the CCTV system through the tablet using both Wi-Fi and mobile data networks. Live feeds were stable, playback was smooth, and there were no delays in accessing system functions remotely.
Conclusion: Remote Access Successfully Enabled.
With this second phase now complete, the CCTV system at Movenpick Condo Tower is not only restored but also fully modernized with mobile monitoring capabilities. Through the DMSS app, the client can now check in on the property’s security in real-time, even while off-site; adding an essential layer of accessibility and convenience.
Installersph IT Solutions is proud to deliver this level of technical expertise and client support. We remain available for future upgrades, maintenance, and training as the client’s security needs evolve.
