CCTV System Upgrade and DVR Replacement Project.
Introduction.
A reliable CCTV system plays an important role in maintaining security, monitoring activities, and providing visibility across a property. To help ensure that an existing surveillance system continues to meet its operational requirements, InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a CCTV site inspection for Airtropolis Consolidator Phils., Inc. at MHT Residences, Plaridel St., Mandaue City, Cebu 6014.
The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate the current CCTV setup, identify existing equipment concerns, assess the condition of the wiring and piping, and determine the requirements for a possible system upgrade.
Assessment of the Existing CCTV System.
During the site inspection, the team assessed the existing surveillance setup, which currently consists of two CCTV cameras connected to an existing DVR.
The condition and functionality of the available equipment were reviewed to determine whether the existing system could support the client’s current surveillance requirements. Particular attention was given to the existing DVR, which was identified as requiring replacement.
The team also inspected the existing camera connections and surrounding infrastructure to identify areas that may require improvement or modification.
Proposed Additional CCTV Cameras.
One of the requirements identified during the inspection was the addition of two CCTV cameras. The proposed additions would expand the existing system from two cameras to a total of four cameras.
The team evaluated the site to identify suitable locations for the additional cameras based on the areas requiring surveillance coverage. Camera placement and viewing angles were considered during the assessment to help determine the appropriate installation points.
DVR Assessment and Replacement Requirement.
The existing DVR was inspected as part of the site evaluation and was identified as damaged. Since the DVR is responsible for managing and recording footage from the connected cameras, its condition is an important consideration for the overall CCTV system.
Based on the inspection, DVR replacement was identified as one of the requirements for the proposed CCTV upgrade. The replacement unit will need to be compatible with the existing and proposed camera setup.
Wiring and Piping Assessment.
The team also inspected the existing CCTV wiring and piping throughout the site. The condition and routing of the existing infrastructure were assessed to determine the requirements for possible rewiring and piping improvements.
Proper cable routing and protection are important factors in maintaining an organized and reliable CCTV installation. The inspection findings will help determine the appropriate materials and routing requirements for the proposed upgrade.
Site Evaluation and Recommendations.
The inspection included an evaluation of the proposed camera locations, existing cable routes, DVR location, and available infrastructure. These observations provide the necessary information for preparing the appropriate equipment and material requirements.
The identified scope includes two additional CCTV cameras, DVR replacement, and improvements to the existing CCTV wiring and piping.
