CCTV and Structured Cabling Supply and Installation at Amara Residences -- Progress Update.

Introduction.
From May 11 to May 13, 2026, the team of InstallersPH IT Solutions conducted a CCTV and Structured Cabling Supply and Installation project at a residential property located in Amara, Liloan, Cebu. The project focused on establishing a reliable surveillance and network infrastructure that would support CCTV cameras, access points, routers, and future network expansion throughout the property. Since the residence was still under construction, the installation process required careful coordination, cable management, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure all systems would function properly once the building was completed.
The project involved not only the installation of CCTV and network components but also extensive cable tracing, re-termination, testing, and labeling to guarantee organized and efficient connectivity across all areas of the property.
Initial Installation and Client Concerns.
On the morning of May 11, the resident client informed the team that several areas of the installation were still incomplete, particularly one section of the CCTV eaves and one indoor room. Despite these pending sections, the majority of the installation areas were already prepared for deployment. The client requested the team to proceed with installations wherever possible and to thoroughly test the network connections to verify functionality before the final turnover.
As the installation progressed, the team discovered several network inconsistencies involving improperly terminated wires. During the evening update, the InstallersPH team retraced the affected wires, re-crimped damaged or incorrect terminations, and performed cable tagging for easier identification. According to the team’s assessment, some of the issues likely originated from previously handled electrical works that were outside the scope of the InstallersPH team. The oversized UTP cables and difficult RJ45 terminations created additional challenges during the installation process.
Cable Tracing, Device Installation, and Testing.
On May 12, the team continued tracing and tagging the CCTV lines, IO ports, and access point cables to ensure every connection was properly organized and documented. After identifying the correct cable paths, the technicians proceeded with the installation of CCTV cameras and wireless access points in their designated areas.
The structured cabling service included supplying network cables for routers, CCTV systems, and access points throughout the property. Once the cables were installed, the team also placed protective piping to secure and organize the network lines. Extensive testing procedures were conducted to verify cable integrity and confirm stable network communication across all installed points.
During the inspection and testing process, the client requested a live verification of the installed cables to confirm that all lines were fully functional. After successful testing, the team confirmed that the installed cabling system was operating properly and ready for final equipment integration once the residential construction phase was completed.
Final Updates and Ongoing Preparations.
By May 13, the team successfully installed all requested CCTV cameras and access points. One remaining data line could not be fully traced due to possible termination errors associated with the electrical contractor’s wiring work, particularly involving CAT6 cables connected to the smart switch system. Despite this isolated concern, all other cables were tested successfully and confirmed operational.
From May 11 to May 14, the InstallersPH team continuously worked on testing and re-terminating all IO ports to ensure network reliability and system stability. Since the house construction remained ongoing, the project would later proceed to the finalization stage, including data cabinet organization and complete system setup after construction completion.
Conclusion.
The CCTV and Structured Cabling Supply and Installation project at Amara Residences demonstrated the importance of detailed cable management, proper testing, and technical troubleshooting in residential network infrastructure projects. Despite encountering wiring complications and ongoing construction limitations, the InstallersPH IT Solutions team successfully completed the essential installations and ensured that the majority of the system was fully operational and ready for future integration. Through systematic tracing, testing, and installation procedures, the team provided the client with a dependable foundation for surveillance, connectivity, and smart network expansion within the property.
