On January 13 and 14, the Binaliw technical team was requested to carry out the supply and installation of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system within a limited timeframe. The project required speed, precision, and careful planning to deliver a reliable surveillance solution despite environmental and structural constraints.
Project Background.
The client requested the installation of ten (10) CCTV cameras equipped with voice recording capabilities, along with a Network Video Recorder (NVR) to manage and store surveillance footage. The installation site consisted of two (2) temporary tents, which presented unique challenges due to limited structural support and exposure to external elements such as rain and moisture. Given the urgent nature of the request, the team committed to overtime work to ensure that the project would be completed on schedule without compromising safety or quality.
Scope of Work.
The scope of the project covered the complete supply and installation of the CCTV system. This included strategic camera placement to ensure maximum coverage inside the tents, proper cabling connections, and the secure installation of the NVR recording device. Since the CCTV setup was intended to be temporary, both the client and the installation team mutually agreed not to use standard piping for the cabling procedure. This decision allowed for faster deployment while maintaining a clean and organized setup suitable for temporary use.
Installation Process.
During the installation, special attention was given to protecting the equipment from environmental risks. All cameras were carefully mounted and positioned to avoid direct exposure to rain, while cables were arranged securely to prevent accidental disconnection or damage. The NVR unit was placed inside a dedicated data cabinet, providing additional protection from moisture, dust, and other weather-related factors. Despite working within a temporary structure, the team followed proper installation standards to ensure system stability and long-term functionality for the duration of its use.
Project Completion and Outcome.
The installation was successfully completed within the two-day timeframe. All ten CCTV cameras were tested and confirmed to be fully operational, including their voice recording functions. The NVR device was properly configured, allowing seamless recording and monitoring of all connected cameras. No technical issues or safety concerns were encountered during or after the installation process.
