CCTV Monitor Supply and Installation at Bridge Culture -- 1st Progress Update.

In this first progress update, the team successfully began the initial stage of the CCTV system modification project, focusing on the piping and pathway preparation from the data cabinet to the front desk area. This update highlights the client’s specific request to relocate the CCTV monitoring point to the front desk for easier accessibility and centralized observation. The modification involves careful planning, conduit installation, and pathway setup to ensure a clean, organized, and secure connection for the HDMI Extender that will transmit video signals from the data cabinet to the monitoring screen.

Client Request and System Adjustment.

During the initial coordination, the client expressed the need for the CCTV monitoring station to be positioned at the front desk. This adjustment provides the staff with direct access to the live camera feeds, improving situational awareness and security management. The existing setup had the monitoring connection routed internally within the data cabinet area, which was less visible and accessible to on-site personnel.

To accommodate this change, the team planned and executed the installation of a new piping route that extends from the data cabinet’s location to the front desk. This route will serve as the main pathway for the HDMI Extender and other necessary signal cables, ensuring a reliable and interference-free transmission between the devices.

Piping Work and Installation Process.

The team carried out detailed piping work along the designated path, ensuring that all conduit sections were securely installed and properly aligned. The work involved measuring the exact distance between the data cabinet and the front desk, selecting suitable molding materials, and securely attaching conduits to maintain both functionality and aesthetics.

Each section of the piping was installed with precision to ensure minimal exposure of cables and to maintain a professional appearance throughout the setup. The pathway design also considered safety and accessibility, ensuring that the conduits do not obstruct any walkways or workspace areas.

By the end of this phase, the entire piping route from the data cabinet up to the front desk was successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the preparation stage of the system modification.

Next Steps: Securing the HDMI Extender Path.

Following the completion of the piping work, the team is now preparing to finalize the cable path installation. The next step involves waiting for the “No More Nails” adhesive to properly set and secure the moldings that will support the HDMI Extender’s cable route. This adhesive provides a strong and durable hold, ensuring that the moldings remain fixed even with prolonged use and environmental factors.

Once the adhesive has fully cured, the team will proceed with running the HDMI cables through the established pathway, connecting them from the data cabinet to the front desk monitoring unit. This will complete the necessary setup for the front desk CCTV display system.

This first progress update marks a productive start to the CCTV system modification project. With the piping and pathway installation now completed, the team has successfully laid the groundwork for transferring the monitoring setup to the front desk area as requested by the client.
